The A Flying Jatt star confessed, "I had auditioned for Spider-Man, I had sent them my tapes, and they were quite impressed," in an interview with Connect FM Canada. My sales pitch to them was that I could do most of Spider-abilities, Man's saving you a tonne of money on your VFX. I was very almost a participant in that.
The 32-year-old actor was given consideration for the part, but according to Deadline, the spidey hero also had contracts with Matthew Lintz, Charlie Plummer, and Asa Butterfield. Tom Holland ultimately won the part, though.
Tiger, however, does have a connection to the Spider-Man movies. In 2017, he performed background voiceovers for Spider-Man: Homecoming's Hindi dub.
"I can't express my enthusiasm to be the voice of my boyhood superhero Spider-Man in Hindi," the actor exclaimed, beaming with joy. I must admit that Spider-Man is the only superhero I have ever wanted to play because I grew up watching the movies.
Tiger Shroff will be seen in the much-awaited
movie Ganapathy in the meantime.
