Following Storm Fiona's devastation, King Charles III and his wife Camilla, Queen Consort, have written a heartfelt letter to the people of Atlantic Canada.
Following Storm Fiona's impact on Canada's shoreline, Britain's new queen wrote a poignant letter to Mary Simon, the Governor General of Canada. On social media, the letter was circulated.
Since the completion of a period of national mourning on Tuesday, King Charles has not used his royal signature to sign a letter of condolence.
"My wife and I were deeply disturbed to hear of the horrific destruction wrought by hurricane Fiona and especially wanted to convey our sincere sympathies to the people of Atlantic Canada whose lives, livelihoods, and properties have been so severely damaged by this calamity," the statement said.

The first responders, military personnel, and community people who had been doing everything in their power to assist in such a crisis were also thanked and appreciated by His Majesty.
Over the weekend, Storm Fiona struck Canada's coastline, leaving hundreds of thousands of people in terrible circumstances.
